Yekmal e.V. Nordrhein-Westfalen

Yekmal North Rhine-Westphalia

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the association Yekmal e.V. has been represented in Bielefeld, Essen and Herford since 2021. Coordinated by qualified management teams, all three locations are now needs-oriented contact points where people with a history of flight and immigration can find various advice, empowerment and support services. Further locations in NRW are being planned.

Needs and target groups

In the most populous federal state of NRW, where almost one in three people have a migration background, the need for multilingual contact points and meeting places for immigrants is particularly high. Thanks to its multilingual and diverse team structure, Yekmal e.V. in NRW reaches a large number of people who have immigrated to Germany with its culturally sensitive, target group-specific and resource-oriented work.
