Register Neukölln

The Register Neukölln in Berlin has been run by Yekmal e.V. since November 2021. It documents racist, anti-Semitic, LGBTIQ*-hostile, antiziganist, right-wing extremist and other discriminatory incidents that occur in the Berlin borough of Neukölln. All of the above-mentioned incidents and forms of discrimination can be reported by citizens to the register office.

The aim of the Register Neukölln is not only to document and analyze structurally or everyday discriminatory incidents in the district, but also to promote awareness in our society of the extent and the number of unreported cases of discrimination experienced by certain groups in order to formulate recommendations against it and to better protect people from discrimination.

Incidents of discrimination that you have observed or experienced yourself can be reported directly to us at the local counseling center, online on the website or by telephone to us in Neukölln. The Register Neukölln records the incidents, evaluates them anonymously and publishes an annual report on the discrimination incidents of each year on the Berlin Register website.

Our counseling currently focuses on initial consultations and referrals. Counseling takes place two days a week and can be offered in one of five languages - Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, English and German - on request.
